We are now well into the New Year and, fortunately, the weather has been kind to us here, with no extreme snow storms and very icy roads.
As always, we have been busy since term 1 in August, training for our London trip to dance at the Shaftesbury Theatre which, the organiser informs me, was a great success and my dancers were a credit to the school. Well done pupils and helpers!
We are now working towards ISTD and U.K.A. exams in June. I have asked for 25/26 June for our Ballet Tap and Modern exams, so I hope we shall be lucky. Friday 28 June is a provisional date for Ballroom tests and little ones dancing baby tests. Examination classes are now closed to beginners to prepare for exams.
A new beginners Ballroom and Latin-American Adult class will commence on Tuesday 4th March from 7-8pm (discounts for blocks for 5 weeks). Samantha and Luis who have been training hard (“Assistant teachers”).
There are also places available in the Adult Ballet Moves on Wednesdays 6-7pm for those wishing to trim up for Summer, and Thursdays 6-7pm for major people who have Grade 5 to advanced experience, in the past.
Movement to Music classes on Tuesdays 3:30-4:15pm, are for the elderly and post op to strengthen bodies and improve balance and enjoy the company over a tea and chat.
